Excellence, Everyday by Everybody

This theme challenges us to carry out ordinary things in an extraordinary manner. If carried out with perfection, excellence will distinguish those who strive to be great from the commonplace. These few examples give an indication of possible areas for improvement:

Students

  • Wearing the uniform correctly, especially to and from school
  • Adhering to the College hair policy
  • Maintaining respectful relationships with staff
  • Considerate and polite behaviour
  • Punctuality to school and class attendance
  • Meeting deadlines for assignments
  • Study hours that will improve one’s grades
  • Positive relationships with peers, family, and social circles

There are numerous policies located on MazCom, that go into great detail about the expectations we have of all members of the community. Please click here to familiarise yourself with College expectations.

I ask that you continue to work closely with the school and if any of the above standards do not meet your approval, please contact me directly at principal@mazenod.vic.edu.au. Thank you for your support as we strive for Excellence, Everyday, by Everybody.

Annual Oblate Cricket Carnival

We are excited to see the resumption of the Oblate Cricket Carnival after a two-year absence. Mazenod College (Victoria) is hosting the carnival this year and we welcome students from both Iona and Mazenod (Western Australia). As part of this great experience families from Mazenod host students over the carnival in homestays. We are looking for a number of families to help host a student/s from Sunday 4th December to Friday 9th December.

The students will be involved all day playing cricket and we are after a place for guests to stay at night and share some Victorian Mazenod hospitality. If you are able to help, can you please contact the College and we will supply further details? Thanks for your support of this valuable experience.

Year 12 Valedictory Mass and Dinner

This Sunday the Year 12 students and their families will celebrate their Valedictory Mass and Dinner. Mass will be celebrated at St Simon’s Rowville and we are looking forward to expressing our gratitude for the year as a faith community.

All the best,
