Former Student - Jack Howell

Congratulations to Jack who was named Lindsay Gaze Outstanding Sports Leadership Award at this year’s Victorian School Sports Awards. This is the highest sporting award a student can receive. Jack has demonstrated outstanding leadership in sport, in school and the community

At the age of 12, Jack’s talents were spotted at a talent identification day by Paralympics Australia, and he hasn’t looked back since. Jack has experienced a high level of success both in the para-athlete and abled bodied events in Australia and overseas. Jack placed 3rd at the 2022 World Triathlon Para Cup in Spain and 2nd at the Oceania Triathlon Para Championships.

Jack is passionate not only about his sport, but his passion to share his story to others through his volunteer and speaking roles at schools. Jack is aiming to qualify for the 2024 Paralympics in Paris, which everyone will have to tune in and watch this talented young man in action. Jack is currently ranked 11 in the world, only after a year of International racing. We are super proud of you Jack and a big congratulations.
