MATHS IN 2023

Welcome to 2023, a year with lots of fun and engaging learning in Mathematics at Holy Name. 

Some things that are coming up throughout the year: 

MATHS WEEK - March 27th - 31st 

This year we will be celebrating Maths Week at Holy Name. The students will be involved in a range of fun mathematics activities including:

 *Maths Incursion on March 27th

*House Maths Afternoon 

*24 Game house competition

*Maths Dress up day  

PROBLEM-SOLVING AND EXTENSION ACTIVITIES

Maths Explorer - a problem-solving program for Grade 3-4 students

Maths Olympiad - an extension group for Grade 5-6 students based on problem-solving. Students participate in regular competitions challenging their mathematical understanding and problem-solving.

MATIFIC

All students will have a Matific Account again this year.  Matific is an online interactive mathematics program that is games-based to allow a fun, engaging way for students to practise their mathematical skills.  Each student will be sent a login and password so that they can access this from home as well as school.
