Looking forward to Term 3 in Sport for MMCRC we have a range of events, the majority of which are teams and students that have progressed through to finals after great performances at the South Gippsland Division level.
Good luck to all competitors and a huge thank you to the staff who have given up additional time to coach the students and allow them to explore their sporting passions.

SSV State Cross Country
On Thursday, July 13th Mary MacKillop Catholic Regional College had 12 students travel to the Yarra Valley Racecourse to compete in the State Cross Country. It is a huge achievement to make this level of competition which effectively has 12 runners from each of the seven regions of Victoria. The weather was kind and the track was a touch muddy which didn’t worry the students at all considering the rainfall in South Gippsland. All competitors handled themselves with class as they took on the best in the state with a positive attitude completing the course with consistent effort. Below is a summary of the results and I congratulate all students for their attitude throughout.
Thanks to all parents who assisted with transport on the day and to Mary Tye who gave up her time to come and support the group it is much appreciated.

SSV Table Tennis - Mrs. Julia Leslie
Both Senior Boys and Girls Table Tennis Teams have competed today (21 July) and have both advanced through to State! Congratulations Teams!
Badminton - Mrs Sally Newton
The year 8 girls had a fun day competing against schools from across Gippsland. They finished the day with some individual wins, but not enough to get them through to the next round. Great team spirit and sportsmanship were displayed all day!
