Walkathon Launch Assembly 2023

It was wonderful to hear from our presenters about their charities.

This now gives us the motivation to fundraise for their causes.

Students, Staff, and parents would have now received an email with a flyer and QR code instructions for donations.

Let’s all work together on making this year’s walkathon a success!

Thank you to all who assisted in the setup, running off, and pack up of the assembly.

MacKillop Today

MacKillop Today's Mobile Learning Centre will give the poorest and most neglected children the opportunity to access books and educational facilities through the provision of a library learning centre and interactive workshops, encouraging children to develop a passion for education and creatively engage in key learning areas.

Transform the Nations

The trafficking of children has become a way of life for many marginalised families who are trying to survive. They are exploited and forced into living a nightmare. Transform the Nations gives them that voice and hope. Transform the Nations offer them a way out of human slavery, opening opportunities for quality education, vocational training and a new safe environment in which to heal grow and transform.

Class Masses

Class masses are continuing to take place weekly.  Students have participated well and are getting used to being back in a prayer space in the Chapel after many years.  Thanks to those of our Parish community who join us for our Masses.

World Youth Day Prayer

The official prayer for World Youth Day Lisbon 2023 was presented on Saturday, 21st of November, Memorial of the Presentation of Mary.

Let us pray for those who are attending this wonderful celebration.

Our Lady of the Visitation,

you who left in haste towards the mountain to meet Elizabeth,

lead us also to meet all those who await us

to deliver them the living Gospel:

Jesus Christ, your Son and our Lord!

We will go in a hurry, with no distraction or delay,

but with readiness and joy.

We will go peacefully, because those who take Christ take peace,

and welldoing is the best well-being.

Our Lady of the Visitation,

with your inspiration, this World Youth Day

will be the mutual celebration of the Christ we take, as You once did.

Make it a time of testimony and sharing,

fraternization, and giving thanks,

each of us looking for the others who always wait.

With you, we will continue on this path of gathering,

so that our world will gather as well,

in fraternity, justice and peace.

Help us, Our Lady of the Visitation,

to bring Christ to everyone, obeying the Father, in the love of the Spirit!

AMEN
