P and C
As 2022 draws to a close, we are bidding farewell to our Canteen Manager of 10 years, Sam Pye. Sam is a very familiar face to lots of our students and it never ceases to amaze me, the number of students she knows by name!
Di Walsh commenced two days a week in the canteen at the beginning of Term 4 this year and will be taking on the Canteen Manager position Monday to Friday, from the beginning of Term 1 2023.
The P&C would like to thank Sam for all her hard work and dedication to providing students with healthy, yummy choices and we wish her all best in her future endeavours. At the same time, welcome to Di!! We look forward to having you on board in 2023!
There are a few changes being implemented to the canteen in 2023 to ensure that the P&C can maximise the support we provide to the school and its amazing students. All student accounts must be in credit. Students will not be permitted to 'book up'. EFTPOS facilities are available for high school students and staff. Parents are also invited to contact us for bank details and we are happy to have you transfer funds across for your children.
We have introduced a new menu, a copy of which will be sent home with all students this week. There are also copies available at the canteen and it is has been published on our Boorowa Central School Snack Central Facebook page.
Unfortunately, due to rising costs, we have had to review some of our prices and this has resulted in a slight increase for some of our items. The canteen cannot run without the invaluable help of our volunteers. To those who have helped out, not just in canteen, but volunteering through P&C for anything in 2022, a HUGE thank you! If you are available to assist in 2023, for as little as 3 hours (9am-12noon) on any day, please contact us through our Facebook page, email bcssnackcentral@gmail.com or contact Di on 0447 064 009.
Tuppence the Orphan Turbine book is now available for purchase at Boorowa Central School.
CWP Renewables kindly donated 72 copies of the book for Boorowa Central School. They are available from the front office for $10 each - every dollar from each sale will go to our Boorowa P&C, which is then spent on resources to assist the learning of the students here at school.
And finally, on behalf of the P&C, we wish our schooling community a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Please stay safe over the holidays and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in 2023. Our first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 7 February 2023 at 7.30pm in the administration building and we welcome anyone available to attend.
Thank you
Bec Driscoll - P&C President
