Positive Behaviour for Learning Acknowledgement Celebration

Teachers acknowledged students' positive behaviour throughout the year by giving a feather and positive verbal feedback. Students placed their feathers in a container in each classroom, and when this container was overflowing, students transferred these feathers to the large cage in the school's front foyer. When this cage is full, the whole school celebrates the positive behaviour shown schoolwide by the students.

Today, the school congratulated students by supplying a sausage sizzle and a fun session at the pool.

Infant and primary students spent time at the pool in the morning, and secondary students went to the pool in the afternoon. All students and staff joined for a BBQ in the park.

Superb Merit Event

Last week at presentation night, twenty-eight students across the school were presented with Superb Merit awards. This award is the highest in our school's merit scheme. Throughout the year, teachers gave merits to students who achieved academic success and personal academic growth. Students needed to gain 240 Merits and a certain number of Aspire awards according to their grades. The criteria for aspire awards include attending school and community events, representing the school at sporting and cultural activities and volunteering at school and community levels.

The school is pleased to offer recipients of the Superb award a subsidised trip to Luna Park on 13 February 2023. The students will travel to Sydney, gain access to all Luna Park's activities and travel home via school transport.

Congratulations to all students who are eligible to attend this excursion. Families will receive information today or during the holidays and need to return this note on return to school next year.

The merit scheme will kick off again on day one, Term one, 2023. We look forward to seeing more students participate in a similar celebration at the end of next year.
