Boccia State Knockout

Congratulations to the Killara High School Boccia team who have recently become the Sydney North Champions after having huge success in two competition days this term.

The first day was played against 5 other local schools at Ryde Sports Centre and Killara High won 4 out of the 5 games to place second on the day and advance to the Sydney North final.

The team then travelled to the Central Coast to play in the Sydney North Final. They played exciting games against Cowan Public, Ettalong Public, Henry Kendall High, Cromer High and Terrigal High. Killara High won ALL games on the day placing first in this competition.

They have now achieved a place in the State Final playing against the best 16 teams in the state at Homebush Olympic Park on Wednesday 10 August.

A huge congratulations to team members Sebastian F (Year 9), Daniel B (Year 10) and Wesley W (Year 11). These players exhibited the highest levels of sportsmanship and teamwork throughout the competition and overcame numerous challenging sporting situations to clinch wins in tight and nerve-racking moments. Check out the video below of the boys hearing their school being announced as the winners.

Well done to the team and good luck for the State Finals.
