Baseball

Congratulations to the Year 7 Boys Baseball team who won the Southern Metropolitan region finals on May 1st. They are currently the championship team of over 95 schools in the state and will go on to play State level Baseball in November.  Good Luck boys and Well Done, it is an incredible achievement. Huge thanks to Mr Matulis for coaching the boys. 

Jacob Kelly - Golf

Jacob played in the Secondary Schools Golf event at the Mornington Golf Club on Friday 5th May, there were 30 entries from Secondary schools in the region; Jacob came equal first qualifying for SSV Junior Secondary State Final to be held at Gardiners Run Golf Course on Friday 26th of May.

He will represent Dromana College against 100 other boys and girls across the state from other schools, both private and public.

State Surfing Team

Congratulations to the State Surfing team, who competed at the State Surfing titles in Jan Juc on Friday 5th May. This was the first time we have entered a girls team into the State titles, and they performed exceptionally well, finishing runners up in the State final. The mixed team also surfed exceptionally well, after being challenged by a tough draw throughout the day, made the State final and placed 3rd. Congratulations to the following students:

Victorian Schools MTB Cycling Championships 2017

Round one of the 2017 Victorian Schools Cycling Series Mountain Bike (MTB) Series will be held on the Hillview Trail at Dromana College by the Red Hill Riders MTBC. There will also be races at You Yangs, Lysterfield Park as well as the State final at Bendigo later in the year.

School Aggregate Trophy

 

Every time a student competes in the VICS MTB they receive points for their school. Points will be tallied up and the school with the most points will receive the School Aggregate Champions trophy!

 

Points are (for each result and any race, including state final): 1st - 40 points, 2nd - 20 points, 3rd - 10 points. Each participant also earns 1 point for their school.

 

Training at Dromana College

Training is every Wednesday 3.15pm till 4.15pm. Students can bring their bikes and change of gear to the green shed at the top of the oval before school, then meet there at the duration of the schooling day and be picked up from Harrisons Rd car park at the conclusion of training.

RACE ALL FOUR EVENTS AND BECOME A SERIES AGGREGATE CHAMPION!

Simply collect the most points in your category and you will be crowned a 2017 Series Aggregate Champion!

 

There will be medals awarded to the top three place getters at each event. 

 

The cost of each event is $20 (plus an Entry Boss admin fee of 30 cents) and a series pass is $75. On-the-day entries will be $30.
