Electronic Permission Forms

Recently Dromana College switched to ‘Electronic Permission Forms’ through the DayMap Parent Portal, for inter-school sporting competitions and basic school excursions. This process will alleviate the amount of paperwork parents are required to complete whenever their student is participating in school activities and streamline the DayMap Parent Portal to make it a ‘one stop shop’ for a wider range of information. For whole year level, whole school activities, adventure activities and outdoor education camps, a more comprehensive written permission slip is still required, with detailed medical information.

We have endeavored to make this process as user-friendly as possible. We understand that there will be issues involved with early implementation and we thank you for patience and understanding. To grant excursion permission Parents are required to:

access the Daymap Parent Portal via the Dromana College web page at www.dsc.vic.edu.au
fill out the contact and medical information and then
click on ‘Approve’

An electronic payment system will be introduced in the very near future, which will also streamline the payment process for excursions and parents will be able to complete their credit card details electronically to pay for the excursion at the same time. However, in the meantime please make your payment at the Administration Office.

Any parent who experience issues with the above process should contact the Administration Office at the College, on telephone 5987 2805 or email 08377694@dsc.vic.edu.au so that we can assist you with navigating the Daymap Parent Portal.

Absentee Line

Parents are reminded to phone the College Absentee Line before 9:00am if their child will be absent or late for school for any reason (holidays, appointments, sick). Parents can phone the College Absentee Line directly on 5984 7177 available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and leave a message. An SMS text message will be sent out to parents if the College is not notified of your child’s absence.

Family Holidays

If your student is going to be on holidays within the school term you will need to apply for approved absence at least two weeks prior to the leave. Please address your letter to Mr Alan Marr, College Principal

Car Park

Please be very mindful when entering the College carpark that you do not use the bus lane. If you drop students off please use the middle car park, gravel car park or the College prefered drop-off at Harrisons Road.
