IMPORTANT TERM 2, 2023 DATES
Below is a list of some of the main dates on the school calendar for Term 2, 2023. Families need to be aware that events which involve organisations outside of St John’s, such as the St Andrew’s Parish, may at times need to be rescheduled. Please be aware that these changes are beyond our control.
Monday 10th July - School Closure Day
Staff attend Professional Development Day focused on Religion & Mathematics
Tuesday 11th July - Confirmation Family Night @ 7:00 pm at St John’s School Hall
Tuesday 25th July - School Advisory Council
Friday 11th August - Sacrament of Confirmation @ 7:00 pm at St Andrew’s Church
Friday 15th September - End of Term early finish 12:30pm
END OF TERM REMINDER
A reminder that Term 2 concludes on Friday 23rd June, with an early finish of 12:30pm for students. Students return for Term 3 on Tuesday 11th July.
YEAR 5 KING PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS
A reminder to parents in Year 5 King, that your Parent Teacher Interviews which were postponed in Term 1, will be held this Thursday. Parents in this class will have received a notification via Operoo, with a link to the Online Booking Portal. Parents in this class can call the office if they have any questions.
SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION INFORMATION
The celebration of our 2023 Sacrament of Confirmation will take place during Term 3. To help parents prepare their children for this important Sacrament we will be holding a Family Night on Tuesday 11th July @ 7:00pm in the St John’s Hall. At this meeting Fr Albert will chat with families about the importance of the Sacrament your child is preparing to receive.
It is expected that all Confirmation Candidates attend this meeting with a parent. During the meeting we will be discussing church requirements such as who is eligible to be a Confirmation Sponsor, the significance of the saint’s name your child chooses to take in Confirmation and the dress code for the celebration.

YEAR 5 REMINDER - THOMAS CARR ENROLMENTS
A reminder to Year 5 families that enrolments to Thomas Carr for Year 7 2025 close in August.
