Afterschool Maths

The Maths Faculty has resumed Wednesday Afterschool Maths in order to support any maths students who -

1.         feel that they are falling a bit behind after the long period of lock-down

2.         might like to do their homework with an experienced maths teacher around

3.         find the certain maths topics difficult or

4.         want to prepare for any up-coming assessments.

 

It starts at 3.40pm in S1 on Wednesdays. No booking is needed. Just turn up with the maths books and work. It finishes at 4.00pm, but students can choose to leave at any time. 

 

Students have been notified of this through SEQTA. For more information about this support, please speak to your child's Maths teacher.

Update from Public Transport Victoria (PTV)

Buses replacing trains on the Lilydale Line in mid-February 2022

 

From Monday 14 February to last train service Wednesday 16 February 2022, PTV will be working 24 hours a day to safely carry out work within the rail corridor and around Lilydale and Mooroolbark Station precincts to progress track and station works, overhead wiring, landscaping and fencing.

 

Changes to the way you travel

 

While these works are in progress, there will be some changes to the way you travel.

Transport Planned travel changes
Lilydale Line

From 8.30pm Monday 14 February to last service Wednesday 16 February, buses will replace trains between Ringwood and Lilydale.

 

Lilydale Station bus replacement service stops will operate at the new Lilydale Station bus interchange on William Street East.

 

Mooroolbark Station bus replacement service stops will operate outside the Red Earth Community Centre on Brice Avenue.

 

Please allow extra time when planning your journey during this period.

 

Commuter car parking

The eastern and western car parks at Lilydale Station are currently closed until early 2022. Alternative parking is available on Market and Chapel Street. 

 

The entire Mooroolbark Station car park is closed until mid-2022 with alternative parking available on Cardigan Road.

 

Roads

Maroondah Highway and Manchester Road will remain open to traffic, with the following impacts: 

• Intermittent lane closures and reduced speed limits.

• Short term, temporary stoppage of traffic including shuttle flow.

Enrolments

2023

We have limited vacancies for next year and would encourage you to submit your Enrolment Application Form as soon as possible if you wish your child to be considered for a place.

 

2024

We are now accepting enrolments for 2024 and beyond (particularly Prep and Year 7) and look forward to hearing from you if you wish to enrol your child(ren). 

 

Notice to Withdraw

Parents are reminded of their obligation to give the College one full term’s notice, in writing to the Principal, if their children are not continuing at Oxley Christian College. The lack of one term’s notice will result in the payment of one term’s Tuition Fees.

 

It is also a legal requirement for you to inform us of the school to which your child’s enrolment is transferring.
