Congratulations to Jaylen, Jason, Charlotte, Chloe, Taylah, Hannah, Adeline, Isla, Jack, Lexi and Eddie who all competed in the Ringwood North District Swimming Carnival on Monday the 21st of February at Yarra Valley Grammar Swim Pool.
As always - the level of competition was high, our Kalinda swimmers were swimming against the best swimmers from schools in the Ringwood North district.
Everyone swam very well and was very encouraging of one another throughout the day.
Many of our Kalinda swimmers received ribbons for placing in their heats.
A very special congratulations to Isla who finished first overall in the 50m freestyle and breaststroke event. As she achieved such outstanding results she was invited to compete in the Maroondah/Manningham Division Swimming Carnival. This was held on Monday the 28th of February. Isla again swam extremely well at this level of competition, finishing third in freestyle and 4th in breaststroke. Excellent results Isla, well done!
Well done to all the Kalinda swimmers, ever so proud of your efforts and achievements, keep up the great work.
Quinn in Grade 6 has recently taken on the role of Sports Photographer and has already taken some great photos! Well done Quinn, we can't wait to see more.

Race 2 - 9:30am Foundation Boys
Course / Distance: 2 laps of the oval
Race 3 - 9:40 am 11 year old Girls & Boys Course / Distance: 3 laps of the 1km course
Race 4 - 10:05 am Grade 1 Girls & Boys Course / Distance: 1 lap of the 1km course
Race 5 - 10:20 am Grade 2 Girls & Boys Course / Distance: 1 lap of the 1km course
Race 6 - 10:35 am 9 & 10 year old Girls & Boys Course / Distance: 2 laps of the 1km course.Recess as per normal.
Race 7 - 11:45 am12 & 13 year old Girls & Boys Course / Distance: 3 laps of the 1km course.
Conclusion - 12:45pm
