Music @ MMCRC

Beth Winterhalter - Music Coordinator

On Thursday the 8th of June the Yr12 VET Music students showcased their amazing talents and skills in a highly professional and entertaining performance evening. As a requirement of the VET Music Performance course, the students had to prepare a 30-minute performance segment in front of an audience. They were examined by their VET Trainer, Beth Winterhalter.

Performances on the night included the sombre and velvety tones of Aimee LePage, who performed with ease as a soloist on guitar and vocal. Sage Anderson, who mesmerised the audience with her vocal and guitar proficiency. And thrown into the mix was the unforgettable Liam Egan who performed on guitar an array of his own compositions that exposed the dark, raw and unique qualities of his vocal skills.

And, to finish the night, an entertaining and highly energetic performance from the group “The Patrick Vella’s” featuring Sofia Jones and Cooper Simcock was heard. The group specialises in alternative music, Sofia wowed the audience with her bubbly and highly energetic voice and stage presence. Cooper demonstrated is talents on the bass guitar and even took the microphone in the group’s rendition of “It’s on” by Korn. The students were joined by teachers David Robinson, Daniel Isgro and friend Daniel Watson to complete their line-up. The house was packed with standing room only and many people up dancing.

Congratulations to all our Year 12 students on a fabulous night!
