Year 9/10 OZTAG Report

On Thursday the 28th of July, Henry Kendall High School was proudly represented at the Central Coast all school’s gala day with two teams, a year 9 and 10 boys and year 9 and 10 girls.

 

The boys started the day strong with a tough loss by one try in the last minute to Brisbane Water Secondary College. They then came up against two tough oppositions in Central Coast Sports College and Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College – Tumbi who were both front runners to win on the day. The boys then finished the day with a strong win over Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College – Berkeley Vale (7-3), however, this unfortunately was not enough to progress through to finals. Best on the day for the boys was Malakai Wolfgramm and Ciaran O’Carroll.

 

The girls also started the day strong by winning a close encounter with Gorokan High School (2-1). The girls then faced semi-finalist St Brigids Catholic College and Erina High School who were grand finalist. They had a final game against Central Coast Adventist School which was played in good spirit, unfortunately, the Adventist school were too good in the end. Best on the day for the girls was Sarah Hyland and Jess Hunter.

 

Both teams represented Henry Kendall High School proudly and demonstrated great sportsmanship on the day.

Year 7/8 OZTAG Report

On Wednesday the 3rd of August, Henry Kendall High School was proudly represented at the Central Coast all school’s gala day with two teams, a year 7 and 8 boys and year 7 and 8 girls.

 

The boys started the day with a tough loss to a dominant Kincumber High School side. They had another loss in a close encounter with Northlakes High School who were undefeated in the round games. This game gave the boys some hope which led to a 4 all draw with Brisbane Water Secondary College. They then finished the day with another tough loss to a classy Green Point Christian College side. Best on the day for the boys was Aydin Haddad and Henry McGavin.

 

The girls had a very similar day to the boy’s team. The girls started the day slow with two tough losses to Erina High School and Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College – Tumbi. They then started to turn around their day with a 4 all draw against Central Coast Steiner School. Going into the last game, the girls were excited to turn up with a great attitude and have some fun when facing Central Coast Sports College which resulted in a tough loss. The best on the day for the girls were Samantha Green and Georgia Poole.

 

Both teams represented Henry Kendall High School proudly and demonstrated great sportsmanship on the day.
