Building Works at Austins Ferry

It is hard to believe that we are only seven school terms away from boys commencing Year 11 studies in 2023. However the sight of the slab being poured for our new Maintenance and Outdoor Education facility highlights how quickly the College's Kindergarten to Year 12 pathway will become a reality.

It is anticipated that the facility will be completed by June 11 at which time we will be able to commence works on the Joyce Performance Centre (JPC). Underneath the JPC is currently used for Maintenance but from June it will be refurbished to provide the College with contemporary music and performing arts facilities that will be the envy of all schools in Tasmania. These works will see the consolidation of all music and performing arts facilities and will feature a range of performance, rehearsal and recording studios and specialist spaces.

Subject to final approvals these works will be followed by a range of exciting projects including:

  • Re-development of Administration facilities at the College;
  • Consolidation of all Student Support services;
  • Consolidation of the College's hospitality and canteen facilities;
  • Development of a state of the art Year 11 and 12 Centre for senior students and staff.

These are exciting times for the College and we look forward to sharing the College's exciting 2021-2024 Master Plan with our community after it is confirmed by the College Architect and Advisory Council.

It has been great to see boys so engaged in learning within the Technology area over the past weeks. These images highlight this engagement and the boys' enjoyment of these subjects.
