Maidstone Reading Club dates Term 3 / 4

The first Maidstone Reading Club for Term 4 - Thursday 10 October at 3.45pm

If you haven’t visited the Reading Club before, drop in and say hello on a Thursday after school.

Where – Maidstone Community Centre, 21 Yardley St., Maidstone

Our first term has been an exciting adventure story full of colourful characters. The Reading Club began with a small but spirited band of volunteers who then meet an  interesting character and then another and another, until the Reading Club, like Pinocchio’s nose, grew and grew.

We have study spaces / rooms set aside for VCE students to Study together. Tea, Coffee, Hot Chocolate & Snacks / Biscuits are also provided. 1 - 4pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays

At Sunshine during October Mondays – Fridays we will have VU students providing mindfulness and massage to provide breaks and wellness for VCE students during their stressful exam period.

We will have more information available, as we work out the final details of this new exciting program.

We currently have 12 places for English as Additional Language students for Saturday 19 October 10:30am -12:30pm

The tutor is an EAL teacher who is happy to provide additional one-on-one tuition on oral exam presentation  practice between 5 - 7pm on Monday 21 October or another time that is suitable for individual students.

We also have about 5 places left for VCE students studying VCE English at Deer Park Library 11am - 1pm on Thursday 26 Sept.
