Congratulations to Sam Wilson

We would also like to proudly acknowledge that Sam Wilson in Year 12

has just been awarded the monthly Don Deeble Rising Star Award for

rowing. It is a local sporting award run by the Sunshine and Western

Region Sports Club and is given to athletes who have represented at

State and National level and live in one of the 5 councils that make

up the western region.

Sam will go into the running for the annual award in January and

receives $1,000 as the monthly winner and a trophy at a presentation

later in September. Look out for an article on Sam in the Star Weekly

soon. Great work Sam - on to the Olympics!

Finally, thanks again to all the wonderful PE staff who put their

hands up to coach and take students away to interschool competitions

this term.
