What is your role at Concord School? Education Support

Provide us with a ‘snapshot’ into your daily routine at Concord School: Arrive around 8.30am. Set up classroom, chat to the teacher, set up the yard, assist students off the bus safely, assist with learning, keep students engaged. Report for yard duty. Have lunch. Chat with other teachers and staff. Assist teacher and students in the classroom. Help with toileting. Make sure children are packed to go home. Send home notices, readers etc. Walk students to bus and pick up. Clean classroom and put away work or display work. Talk about the day with Elvin.

What do you love most about working at Concord School?

The wonderful students and staff. It’s such a great place to work and everyone supports one another.

Favourite Food: Chinese

Favourite Movie/TV Show: Steel Magnolias

Favourite music: Bon Jovi (Glam Rock)

Things I dislike the most: Mazes.

Hidden Talent or Something We May Not Know About You: 

I am a singer and was once in a band.

Favourite Sporting Team/Athlete: Cathy Freeman

If You Could Pick Any 3 People as Dinner Guests, Who Would They Be and Why? 

Olivia Newton John because of her singing talent and for the awareness and money she has raised for breast cancer research.

Hugh Jackman because he is what you call a triple threat he can sing, dance and act. He is also very handsome.

Cathy Freeman because she is an amazing athlete and such a great role model.

Upper Primary Teacher

In the morning, we talk through what the day holds for us and then read a book together from the weekly theme.

What do you love most about working at Concord School?

The whole Concord community. The staff and students are amazing!

Favourite Food: Just about anything (as long as there’s no anchovies!)

Favourite Movie/TV Show: Forrest Gump

Favourite music: Funk & Soul

Things I dislike the most: Anchovies!!! Collingwood FC

Hidden Talent or Something We May Not Know About You: I take great pleasure in home construction and landscaping.

Uniform Shop

Concord School Uniform Shop will continue to operate throughout the term by appointment only if a fitting is required.  We will continue taking orders via phone/email/hand delivered form.

 

All orders will be sent home with your child. If there are any issues with the order such as sizing, we will be happy to provide an exchange. Any exchanges must be made completed within 1 month of purchasing and proof of purchase must be shown.

Newsletter: Term 1, Friday 11 March 2022

 

Dear Parents/ Guardians and staff, 

 

Children spent this week catching up with their peers and educators. This week’s program theme was “Music & Movement” week and comprised of varied activities based around the children’s interests. Children participated in group games and activities such as musical statues, dancing, poison ball and UNO. Additionally, children, drew on the whiteboard, and played table soccer. An enjoyable week was had by everyone at OSHC.

After School Care Picnic: 

Wednesday 16th March, 2022

On Wednesday 16 March, 2022 TheirCare will be hosting an After School Care picnic for all of the children that attend on this day. In addition to our afternoon tea- we will be serving fairy bread. Following the picnic; party games will be facilitated by staff.

We welcome all children to this event. If you would like your child to attend- please enrol your child by referring to the ‘How to Enrol’ details below.
