Postponement of Year 12 Ball and Parent Ball

Due to concerns over the current and anticipated rise of COVID-19 cases in the community, and in consideration of the health and safety of all TC students, families and staff, the College has made the difficult decision to postpone both the 2022 Year 12 Ball and the Parent Ball.

The Year 12 Ball will now be held on Friday, 8 July 2022, and the Parent Ball will be held on Saturday, 9 July 2022.

Based on the latest health advice and with the strong likelihood of new stricter public health and social measures being introduced in the coming weeks and months, the College believes that postponing the events to the Term 2 holidays will give us the greatest opportunity to host an incredible night for the Class of 2022, and for College parents the following evening.

Whilst we appreciate this news will be met with disappointment, the decision has not been made lightly. Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding as we continue to navigate these changing conditions.

Last chance - EOI to join the TC Parent Council - Closes tonight!!

The Trinity College Parent Council (TCPC) is calling for expressions of interest from current TC parents willing to be involved on the council, to fill one (1) vacant position.

Any parent who is interested is asked to submit brief (half page maximum) nomination, telling the TCPC a little bit about yourself, why you are interested in being involved, and any skills, talents or ideas you could bring to the TCPC.

The TCPC enables parents of current College students to engage in and support College activities with the view of enhancing the community experience at the College. They achieve this by providing support and advice to the College Leadership Team in relation to areas of parental support. Additionally, the TCPC, in collaboration with the College, helps manage social events for the College community, including the annual Parent Ball. More information on the roles and activities of parent groups at TC can be found here.

Please email your expression of interest to tcparentcouncil@gmail.com by 11.59pm, Friday 4 March. The TCPC hopes to welcome the new member at the next TCPC meeting on Tuesday 22 March.

Please note: expressions of interest will be kept on file for consideration later in the year, when the TCPC will be advertising other vacancies due to members reaching the end of their term. Interested parties will be contacted at the appropriate time.
