It was excellent to see the sportsmanship amongst the team

Thanks to Jaiden French, Elijah Tighe and Mrs Drielsma for taking the team to Glen Innes for the games

ASC 1 - Terrigal HS 2

A noble defeat...

ASC Open boys Football team has been knocked out of the CHS U/18s Shield.

The boys who two weeks ago were crowned champions of the Northwest were defeated in the final 16 match against the champions of the Sydney North, Terrigal High School.

In a pulsating match of schoolboy football, ASC clawed their way back from a 2 goal half time deficit to be pressing for an equalizer in the last 5 minutes of the game.

Noah Hamilton put ASC back in the hunt with a stunning 40 metre strike. A crazy 3 minutes before halftime saw Terrigal win and convert a penalty then follow it up with a breakaway goal to stun the homeside and go into halftime 2-0 up.

Roared on by the ASC crowd and Reggie the Wedgy, the school mascot, the local boys forced themselves back into the game with outstanding play by Myles Harris, Sirwan Kudeedah and Stuart Parsons.

Coach Michael Lord also acknowledged the great defence work by the schools back four. Mr Lord also said " I am proud of our all our players and their effort. I would also like to acknowledge the students and staff who came along to support our team.

The team thrived on the support they received".

Well done to all the players

Mr M Lord & Mr J Walker.

IEC Family Afternoon

Today we prepare for our Intensive English Centre Family Afternoon as our Foundation class make biscuits, slices and cupcakes to share with our ezidi parent community over lunch tomorrow.   Thank you to Karina and the TAS Department for letting us use the kitchen.

This term has been a busy one with many new ezidi families arriving in Armidale and considerably increasing our enrolment in the IEC which is exciting for all our IEC staff.

So tomorrow we have invited all of our families into the IEC for lunch and an information session so that we can explain their child’s end of term report and how they are progressing in their learning.  Our staff have been busily preparing a fantastic display of student work and photographs – and there will also be some reading from our students.
