Dear Families

We never know what each day may bring and last week our school community tried to make sense of the tragic news about Dave Matthews who was taken suddenly and too young.

Dave will be remembered for his gentle, kind and loving nature that was evident in the way that he communicated with those around him. He was always present in our community and giving of his time especially with his expertise with music.

Dave’s vision of having a state-of-the-art performance area for the school came to life when he designed and built our Theatrette in the Padua Pavilion. His memory will be carried on whenever it will be used.

We keep Angela, Taye and Marley in our thoughts and prayers and ask that God provides them with the strength to celebrate Dave’s life in time to come, knowing that they have a community around them for support.

Feast of St Mary of the Cross, Mary MacKillop.

How welcoming it was to see that over 90 families joined the online Prayer Celebration this morning in honour of Australia's first saint St Mary of the Cross. May we follow her lead in never seeing a need without doing something about it.

Distance Learning

Thank you to the way that staff, students and parents have embraced the lock down with ease and swiftness. It is a comfort knowing that our students will not lose out on one day of learning as we continue to deliver a high quality curriculum to all.

A particular note of thanks to Dan Clohesy and his team for the online entertainment last week with the fantastic and thought provoking Trivia Challenge.

School Fees

Final payment of school fees and levies for 2021 was due on Friday, 6th August 2021, unless you are on a payment plan. Please ensure any outstanding balances are paid as soon as possible. If you would like a copy of your statement please contact the office.

Thank you to the families who have already paid. If you are having financial difficulties please contact me to discuss a plan.
