Education In Faith

A Prayer for Spring

Dear God,

We celebrate spring’s returning and the rejuvenation of the natural world.

Help us to understand our place within this miracle.

Let us see that as a bird now builds its nest,

Bravely, with bits and pieces,

So we must build to nurture human faith.

Amen.

Mary MacKillop Today Dinner

Each year the College hosts the annual Mary MacKillop Today fundraising dinner. Mary MacKillop Today brings three former Josephite organisations. The eveing consists of a three-course meal with the Year 11 VCAL girls preparing canapes and soup. There are donated items to purchase, raffles and an auction of goods to help raise money for the Victorian Branch.

Feast Day Fundraising

This year the College raised over $4,000 on Feast Day. Well done to all the girls and teachers for running a variety of stalls for our fundraising. The money will go towards the work of Mary MacKillop Today in East Timor.

A Message from the Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Sacred Heart

Mary MacKillop walked alongside the poor. The early Sisters educated poor children to break the poverty cycle.  The Sisters today continue to walk with the poor.  As a school community we have an obligation to continue the work of the Sisters and see a need and DO something about it.  With this in mind, I urge you to log on to the link below and sign the petition to release children from Nauru.  I am certain, if she were alive today, Mary MacKillop would be advocating for these poor children.  Will you walk with the Sisters and work for justice for these children?
