Rugby Update

2023 NRL School Dates / Events

As we look ahead to 2023, we are excited by the plans the school has to continue to grow the “greatest game of all” and build on our success playing competition rugby league against schools in the Western region.

Staughton College will continue its commitment to provide opportunities for our students to play touch, tag or tackle rugby league; headlined by the Cameron Smith & Cameron Munster Shield State Finals.

School rugby league plays an important role in helping male and female students engage in healthy activities in a safe and supported environment and we look forward to another successful year in partnership with the NRL.

We are fortunate to have some awesome talent among our girls and boys and we are very proud the way they have demonstrated teamwork, communication, problem solving and relationship building. This is particularly exampled with lunch time training, exercise drills and building relationships, contributing to a range of mental and physical health benefits.
