LMR Cross Country

Four runners represented MCC in frigid but sunny conditions at St Arnaud's undulating course around Lord Nelson Park.

Andrew Skillicorn, our sole secondary representative, ran in the morning and found the competition stiff, finishing 51/76. He left vowing to adopt a training program and to return stronger next year. 

Our winning division team of Mason Janetzki, Clark Jackson and Nelson Chiera competed in the 9/10 year category. Nelson set the early pace with a strong start, before being forced to retire mid-race. Clark and Mason ran well together, finishing 45/57 and 46/57 respectively, both improving on their results from last year, which were in the 50s.

All runners were well supported by a travelling army of family and friends who made the 630km round trip to cheer them on in the icy breeze. Thanks to all who attended and supported our students as they represented our school!
