Year 10 Mathematics

MATHEMATICS (Yearly)

In Year 10 Mathematics, students are provided with the opportunity to further enhance mathematical skills and techniques. The program has a strong focus on building students capacity to use varied approaches to problem solving. Students will develop their logical thinking and use of mathematical strategies around a range of topics by working on questions and problems as well as relevant investigative projects. Based on data analysis students are offered a differentiated program that allows all students to experience success and growth in their learning. Some students are recommended to use an individualised online learning platform to target learning to their specific needs, while other students may work on extension tasks as part of their program. All students will be required to participate in Rich Tasks, problem solving and real world projects. This will prepare students for a variety of potential mathematical pathways in Year 11 and 12.
