Mitcham Bowling Club Works

Dear Mitcham Primary School

I am reaching out to advise of some work Council will be undertaking at Mitcham Bowling Club, located next door to Mitcham Primary School. 

From Monday 3 July, Council’s contractors will be installing temporary fencing around the club house at the bowling club to commence roof replacement work. There will also be temporary fencing installed around the first bay of parking in the carpark at the rear of the bowling club.  It is anticipated work will be completed by mid-August, however as it is roofing work it is weather dependant. 

The diagram below outlines in yellow the location of temporary fencing which includes car parking that will be unavailable for the duration of the work.  

There maybe a few times a crane is required to remove sections of the roof or lift equipment onto the roof and this has been determined to happen during school holidays, weekends or between 7am – 8am Monday to Friday to limit the disruption to the school community. 

We are conscious of how busy Bowling Green Lane gets during school drop off and pick up times and we have planned the project to limit the disruption to this road.
