To all our wonderful Teachers and LSO's you embody all of these qualities. Thank you for all that you do!
It was only just a couple of weekends ago that we had our rescheduled working bee. We had a number of tasks to complete and a huge thank you to the families and parents who turned up and made them into a reality. We would like to thank Dean Van Campfort (3TH and PJS), Andrew and Joel Vander (6CN), Nick Bryce (PJS), The Demunck Family (6Cn, 4CR and 2JE), Cameron Weller (PJS), Martin Griffith (5 AB and 3 TH), Mark Kulkens and his father in law, Les Giles (5 AB and 3TH) and Glenn Curran, Eugene Richards, MIchael Falzon and Janelle Reid for making this all happen. We thoroughly enjoyed cooking up a storm and feeding the troops with a delicious BBQ lunch….. and I am sure that I cooked a tad better than Mr Boyhan!!!!
A timely reminder that we are a ‘Nut Free School’. It is very important that we do not have any items of food with nuts in them at school. We also recommend that students do not share any food items with each other due to certain food allergens contained in certain foods. We appreciate parent support in this matter.
You may have noticed that the Compass Kiosk is up and running in the office. Thank you to Siobhan Morello and Michael Elliot (ICT Compnow Staff) for getting this going for us. The Compass Kiosk is directly linked to the classroom role. This is purely for our parents to sign in their child if they arrive late or need to leave school before 3.25pm.
Classes begin at 8.55am every morning and students are expected to be at school by this time ready to begin the day of learning. If students arrive after this time, they are required to be signed in by a parent at the office through our Compass Kiosk. If you need to pick up your child before 3.25pm, please sign them out through this kiosk.
On Tuesday we had a mini opening of the oval for our students. Our FIRE Carriers began with an Acknowledgment which led into a kick to kick with Fr Terry and Fr Michael. The Year SIx House Captains ran through the banner to open the oval to our students. Thank you to our Year Six Leaders for their contribution to this morning.
We do have a more formal opening with Vicki Ward attending our School on Thursday November 21. More details to come.
