Cheaper Child Care

From 10 July 2023, if your family earns under $530,000, you’ll get increased Child Care Subsidy (CCS).

The CCS percentage you’re entitled to depends on your family’s income.

The income limit to get the maximum CCS is increasing. Families earning up to $80,000 will get an increased maximum CCS amount, from 85% to 90%.

If you earn over $80,000 your CCS percentage will go down by 1% for each $5,000 of income your family earns. You’ll either get more subsidy or have no change to your entitlement.

If you have more than one child aged 5 or under, you can still get a higher rate for one or more of your children.

The low income limit for Additional Child Care Subsidy Transition to Work will also increase to $80,000.

If you already get CCS, you don’t need to do anything to get the increased rate. We’ll apply changes to your CCS automatically.

Payment of Fees

Changes to gap fee payments from July 2023

From 1 July 2023, families using OSHC must pay the gap fee using electronic means.

The gap fee is the difference between the provider’s fee and the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) amount.

Electronic funds transfer, or EFT, is when a customer pays a bill using electronic means. Typical EFT payment methods include:

  • bank or credit card, including mobile wallets
  • direct deposit or bank transfer, including PayID
  • online payment systems through third party software
  • BPAY or Centrepay.

Families can now pay through Qkr! app.

OSHC fees need to be paid on a weekly basis.  Weekly statements/tax invoices are emailed out to all parents on Tuesday.  All fees are due the week after care is provided.

If you require any assistance with the app, please come and see the Director.

Please make an appointment with the Director to discuss and make arrangements if payments become a concern.  Any decisions on payment methods for late fees must be mutually agreed on by the Principal and/or OSHC Director.

If there is any way, I can assist please don’t hesitate to discuss it with me.
