100 days at School for Preps

Our first day back after remote learning was a huge celebration for the preps. We celebrated our 100 days at school, even though it was a bit late. All the children dressed up as though they were 100 years old and participated in some fun activities throughout the day. It was a great way to start back at school and reconnect with our friends and teachers.

Parents  &  Friends Association

Darren has mentioned our new team for 2022 in the Principals Report.  Looking forward to an exciting year next year.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the 2021 P&F Committee for volunteering to take on a role this year (and what a tough year it was) the  P & F Team were a great group to work with and those leaving will be greatly missed.

Canteen News

We have had a change in canteen arrangements and will no longer be offering the canteen every day.  We will now be using an external provider who specialises in homemade and healthier options for schools. We are excited to have them on board and look forward to your feedback on the service they provide. They will be supporting with lunch orders on Mondays only for the remainder of the year. Tuesday - Friday lunch will need to be provided from home. Below is a short introduction from the owners.

KingWill Catering is the business of two local school mums, Jo Williams and Nicole Kingston, who both have a passion for healthy and homemade food options for school children.  KingWill has been in business since 2017, and is a winner of the Hobson's Bay Food Safety Awards.  We offer a large range of food options, mostly all homemade onsite, including hot food such as fried rice, pasta, hot subs along with freshly made sandwiches, salads, snacks, fruit, veggie sticks and fruit ice creams.  Ordering is simple and is via the QKR app and with credit card payment. More information will follow when a start date is confirmed.  We are a council registered, and nut free kitchen.  If your child has any specific dietary requirements, please feel free to contact us to discuss suitable menu options for them. Your school will commence a lunch order trial on Mondays, date to be confirmed.  As takeaway cutlery is being phased out please provide your child with any cutlery they may need. Lunch orders will be on Mondays each week, and are available to order on Qkr, up to 2 weeks in advance and close at 8.30am the morning of service. We look forward to working with you.
