Student Allowances and Subsidies 2023

Below are details of the remaining student allowances and subsidies for 2023. If a particular allowance or subsidy applies to your situation, please complete the associated application form, and return it to the address indicated on the form. 

These forms are also available for download on our website and in Compass under Community > School Documentation > Financials. 

Boarding Away from Home Allowance (BAHA) $1,350 

Ag Special Subsidy closes Monday, 31 July 2023!

The Department of Education makes available a student Boarding Away from Home Allowance each year to families with children attending primary and/or secondary school and boarding in residential accommodation.

The allowance consists of two components:

• Agricultural Special Subsidy which applies to all students in residents who are not in receipt of Assistance for Isolated Children (AIC) from the Department of Human Services (Centrelink).
• AIC Subsidy which applies to all students who are currently in receipt of AIC from the Department of Human Services (Centrelink).

Staffing Updates

We welcome Alexis Steyn to our team. Alexis is our new Marketing and Administration Support Officer and comes to us with a multitude of experience in the field. We are very excited to have Alexis join the College.

Tracy Milton, formally our Cleaner in Charge, also officially joins the Corporate Services Team in the newly created Facilities Resources Coordinator.

Peta Otway is taking on the challenging role as Cleaner in Charge. Peta has been a long-term cleaner at the College and we thank Peta for accepting the position.

Nancy Te Moana also joins our cleaning team. Welcome Nancy.

Julie Lehane is currently on leave from the College.
