💚PROUD MOMENTS💚 AND

🤬 THE F.. WORD 🤬

What a fortnight it has been since we last met! Stewardship is running rampant in our school garden with 💚PROUD MOMENTS💚 happening everywhere. I can’t keep up! Check out some of these below:

💚PROUD MOMENT💚 - Our mighty students have been donating their valuable time and energy at playtimes to move more seating into the garden area. It’s a favourite spot to hang out under the fig tree.  There was some serious muscle power from Alfie, Marcus, Mark and Luca. Check out “Big Al” lifting out the massive log …. with his arms folded. What a He-Man! Thanks, Al: the 🌻St Louis garden is a better place with you in it. 

💚PROUD MOMENT💚 – 3ES working hard to prepare one of our ponds for frogs to make their home. Check out Milly and Yas standing 💚PROUD💚. 

💚PROUD MOMENT💚 – 4MP with their heads down and tails up feverishly weeding and raking our eel garden. The garden looks sensational, has some fancy seating in it and is a quiet space that will be used for meditation. 

💚PROUD MOMENT💚 – 🐣Chicks helping chooks.  Lilian, Sadie, Ljana and Olivia raking and shovelling mulch back into our back orchard garden beds. The cheeky chickens spend most afternoons out here kicking the mulch onto the paths 😱. Great work, team! You could eat your lunch off that ground. 

💚PROUD MOMENT💚 – 🤩 Sylvie and Linda🤩 are our first weekend animal carers. Stewardship in its purest form. We are full of gratitude, girls. 🙏Thankyou 🙏. If anyone would like to be a part of weekend or holiday animal care please email me.

SAD NEWS - Very early last Friday morning a 🤬 fox🤬 got into our chook pen and killed two chickens and a duck. Amongst the dead was Baby Spice, our much-loved white duck.  Becks and the other Spice Girls are slowly coming to terms with the loss along with the students. 

We also lost our oldest chicken, Priscilla. She was donated to us over ten years ago and was at least two years old when we got her. She lived a great life with us and will be fondly remembered ❤️ .
