All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.
Good afternoon families,
What a lovely week it has been. Our new building is taking shape and we look forward to moving in. The students love walking past and seeing the office taking shape.
Today we had 34 students attend Chelsea Swimming District. Congratulations to all the student on their achievements. Nine of our students made it through to the Division. The students should be congratulated on their behaviour, they represented the school superbly. Thank you Mr Dean Andrew for all your support.
Camp
Next week our Year 6's attend camp in Canberra, we wish them all the very best on their adventures. Students are required to be at school at 6.15am, buses are leaving promptly at 6.45am. Mrs Stefanec will be in charge for the week, as I am going on camp.
Eucharist
Please keep in your prayers the Year 4's as they start their preparation for receiving their First Communion in Term 2. The Year 4's are participating this weekend in their Eucharist Commitment Mass.
Teacher Profile
Laura Duly ( Art Teacher)
Hi my name is Laura and I’m thrilled to be the new art teacher Mon-Wed at St Louis.
My first degree was in fine art and I have been lucky enough to study and work in the creative arts in many places over the years. During this wonderful time I found my love of helping children express themselves through art and began studying education, majoring in visual arts when I returned from overseas.
I began my teaching career in 2020 at Wooranna Park where I worked as a Prep teacher. Going on family leave in 2022 with my second son, my family and I moved locally and have loved building our life here. I returned to work casually towards the end of the year and fell in love with the culture and community of St Louis.
I am excited to begin this specialist role in such a wonderful school and look forward to helping the students of St Louis grow their creativity throughout 2023.
