Principal's Report

WOW! This has been another amazing week!

Following on from our fabulous Book Week Parade in Assembly last week - we swapped costumes and many students performed at our first Annual Have A Go Night in the theatre. I was lucky enough to be the MC from the night and what amazing talent we have at our school! We had the "sassy girls" above who performed a funky dance with some of the boys, we had brave solo singers, dancers, Irish dancers, beautiful piano players, a few comedians and a very funny father daughter act!

It was a great night - thanks to Ali Sharma for organising the event, Gavin and Cam on sound and lights, Noddy and Anna doing the judging and Jimmy as always for capturing the amazing moments!  we may even be able to talk Jimmy Harris our School Council President into joining his girls in Irish Dancing??

Some of my favourite photos!

DISTRICT ATHLETICS CARNIVAL

60 of our top athletes were selected to compete in the Templestowe District Aths Carnival on Thursday. All our students put their heart and soul into every event.

Well done to all our athletes. Huge thanks to Alysha, Julian, Elissa and Rohan for managing the team on the day. When I popped in - the team was really supporting each other and the weather was much better than we we had our school athletics!

SCHOOL REVIEW:

Just to keep us on our toes we had our second ( of three) School Review days on Wednesday this week.

Thanks to all those involved in the different forums held throughout the day,  the Review Panel commented on how articulate our students were.

Thanks also to the staff for shuffling their day so they could be part of the Review.

Our final day is next week.

It has been a very interesting process to be involved in.

ENROLMENTS:

Enrolments are welcome for 2023. We are keen to receive enrolment forms as early as possible so we can plan for next year. Thank you so much.

PPD DAY: MONDAY SEPT 5 - students not required at school.

Our 3 way interview timetable is up on Compass and you can now select when you would like your interviews - either on line or face to face between 12 noon and 6 pm.

Arts Festival:  Tuesday 13th September                 4pm - 5:30pm

Students, parents, families and friends are warmly invited to the last Tuesday of this term, 4 - 5:30pm, for our bi-annual Arts Festival. Our wonderful students have been working hard throughout the term to design, make and create a variety of fabulous artworks. Students will have their work on show in their classrooms and in the art room. See your child’s art and visit different classrooms to see what other students have been busy creating. Come and share in this exciting afternoon with us!

HAPPY FATHERS DAY

Happy Fathers Day to all our amazing Dads out there - you are awesome!

Very hard to go past this Pic from the Have a Go Night! Thanks Johnny!

THANK YOU to all our amazing Teacher Aides - they do such a great job caring for our students.   This week is Teacher Aide's Appreciation week! Thank you Angela, Elissa, Briere, Michaela, Amy and Shar ( on holiday). We do appreciate you all.

Have a great Fathers Day weekend.

Please read all the articles in our Newsletter - Jimmy our School Council President always does a great article and Robyn, our School Chaplain has an insightful article on the importance of Fathers.
