HCC News and Announcements

No School on Melbourne Cup Holiday
Please be reminded that Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 November are an extended long weekend for the College due to the Melbourne Cup. The College office and school will be closed on both these days and there will be no classes.
Return to school: Wednesday 3 November
All HCC students will be returning full-time onsite on Wednesday 3 November (rather than Friday 5 November as previously advised). We continue to have specific COVID guidelines in place to minimise the likelihood of any spread of the COVID-19 virus amongst the College community. These guidelines include:
- Not sending your child to school if they are sick or feeling unwell
- Compulsory wearing of masks for Secondary students inside and outside
- Compulsory wearing of masks for Year 3 to 6 when inside
- Recommended wearing of masks for Prep to Year 2 inside
- Social distancing where practical
- Regular washing and sanitising of hands
- Parents to only come into the school building if absolutely necessary.
We would also request that you please notify the school if your child is unwell and awaiting a COVID test result, or if any family member has tested positive to COVID-19. We will continue to support the learning of any students who are required to isolate with remote learning work.
Collecting Students after school
In order to limit the number of people on-site at any given time, we will be staggering the finish times at the end of the day. The new finish times will be:
- Prep to Grade 2 at 3:05pm
- Grades 3 to 6 at 3:15pm
- Years 7 to 12 at 3:25pm
Students will be brought to the portico outside of the auditorium for parents to collect at the end of the day. Grades 5 and 6 will be released to go their parents at their cars, while Prep to Grade 4 students need to be collected by their parents from the teacher. Please ensure that you are at school on time to collect your child and that you leave the premises as soon as possible after this.

Students Withdrawing in 2022
Parents are reminded that should your circumstances have changed and your child is not returning to HCC in 2022, the College requires one term’s notice in writing; please email to (both) enrolments@hcc.vic.edu.au and office@hcc.vic.edu.au. Failure to provide this notice will result in one term’s fees being charged in lieu of this notice.
