Year 12 Final Days at HCC
Message to Year 12 Students
I feel sad and excited as you come to the end of your time at HCC. I am sad that you are leaving but very excited for you as you begin a new phase in your life. It has been an absolute privilege to observe the growth and development of this fine group of students; many have spent the entire 13 years of education at Heatherton Christian College. It only seems like yesterday that I was speaking to your parents at a Prep information night, and now you have come to the end of your schooling.
It is a challenge for a student who has spent thirteen years of his/her life, in fact, more than half of his/her life thus far, in a school, to step out of it. Perhaps what makes it more difficult is the fact that you're leaving behind the care and guidance of caring teachers and great friends - only to soon find everything shrunk to a handful of memories.
I hope that you treasure your school memories and that the relationships and friendships that you have established here will be life-long.
Please keep in touch and visit us in the future. We love having our ex-students involved in the school. You are always welcome here.
