Message from the Principal

This will be another big week for our school community as we welcome our Prep Parents and Guardians to the Prep Information Evening on Tuesday night and we invite everyone to join us for the School Education Board AGM this Thursday night. As a welcoming community we pride ourselves on being open and inclusive for all. 

If you are wanting to assist in the classroom, there is a Parent Helpers' Course available. Further details are on the Learning and Teaching page in this newsletter.

Last week we welcomed the Puppeteers from Camp Quality to our school. They presented shows for all of our students answering the difficult questions kids have about cancer, dispelling common myths and teaching them how to be supportive and understanding of anyone impacted by cancer – all of which prevents bullying and exclusion.

It is managed by a school parent volunteer, with an administrator being a teacher at school. It is a great way to share upcoming events based on the school calendar, send reminders and to be positive and reaffirm school spirit.

We need a new volunteer to take on the role of Social Media Coordinator. If you are interested please let me know.

School Education Board AGM

You are all invited to join us this Thursday evening for wine and nibbles to celebrate the achievements of the School Education Board in 2020. We will present a report to the community and discuss the new structure of the board under the governance of MACS (Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools). We hope to see you there at 7.00pm in the Staffroom,  Thursday 18 March.

Mothers Day Breakfast

I am looking for a group of dads to assist with this year's Mothers Day Breakfast, Friday 30 April. It may be a little different to previous years due to the building works but it will still be special. If you are able to assist in any way please send me an email.

Enrolments for 2022

Enrolments are now open for Prep 2022. If you have a younger child who is ready to begin school next year, please complete the  enrolment form and hand it in at the office or email it to me. Don't forget to let your neighbours and friends know also.

We have St John's advertisement flyers in the office, ready for distribution. If you are able and willing to distribute the flyers in your street or local area, please let me know or contact the office.
