National Walking To School Safely Day - Promoting Healthy Habits and Community

St. Brendan's Community celebrated National Walking To School Safely Day on Friday 19th of May with an extraordinary turnout this year. It was a delightful sight to see over 60 enthusiastic individuals move their bodies safely and walk up the hill to school from Tillerkite. The event was filled with energy, positivity, and a great sense of community spirit. We appreciate all the parents, students, and teachers who supported this initiative.

The event was not just about promoting physical activity and healthy habits but also about fostering a sense of togetherness and building a stronger community. Walking to school provides numerous benefits for our students. It encourages an active lifestyle and enhances physical fitness. Walking also promotes mental well-being by helping to reduce stress and improve concentration. By organizing events like National Walking To School Safely Day, we aim to instil these healthy habits in our students from an early age.
