Brendan’s Garden News

There was a feeling of excitement in Brendan’s Garden. After months of tending to all the plants and watching patiently as the pumpkins grew and spread themselves out of their garden box, it was pumpkin harvest day!

The Green Team couldn’t wait to pick a pumpkin and take it back to introduce their class. There were 8 pumpkins ready to be harvested with another 6 pumpkins needing a little more time to grow.

The Foundation, Year 1/2 and Year 3/4 classes all took a pumpkin back to join their class for the next few weeks. It is up to each class to embrace their new class member and use it to stimulate and motivate some learning.

When the remaining pumpkins reach maturity, the Year 5/6 classes will also get a pumpkin for their class.

Stay tuned for pictures of our new pumpkin pupils.

Here are some recent pics from our Science Incursion.

On Wednesday 17th May, the Grade 3/4 children participated in an incursion called 'Forces in Action'.  We learnt so much while participating in various activities and experiments.  It was super fun!   scroll->

Students investigated the influence of friction on moving objects. They then designed and produced their own vehicle that moved using recycled materials.
