Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Dear Sacred Heart Community,

It was great to see so many families being able to attend the Feast of the Sacred Heart Mass on Sunday and for some of the members of our school choir to add to the celebration with their beautiful voices.

The celebrations continued on Monday with an assembly and prayer.  We then had multi-age groups rotating through 4 activities. It was great to see the students enjoying themselves. We concluded our time by having our lunch all together outside in the sunshine and even had  a zooper dooper!  Thank you to everyone who came in with coins to donate to the charity; St. Vinnies. I will take a heavy bag of coins to the bank to exchange for notes tomorrow, so I will be able to share our final tally that we donate in next term's newsletter. Thank you so much for your generosity.

There are some reports and photos below from the day.

I wish you all a happy and safe holiday and look forward to seeing everyone back ready for Term 3 in a few weeks time.

Take Care,

On Sunday, my dad, mum and I along with lots of my school friends and their families went to the church to celebrate Sacred Heart Feast Day. We got to sing in the choir and read some special prayers. We also got to bring sacred items into the church. We enjoyed all the special treats afterwards at school! Natalie, Brenton, Tristan

Last Monday we had the Sacred Heart Feast Day Celebration and  all the Year 5/6s had organized little activity groups for the school to rotate to. I found it really fun when my group made some badges shaped like hearts. Isabelle & Mia

My favourite activity was the treasure hunt because the clues were really hard but I guessed the last one right. Katalina

We wore a splash of red to represent the red heart of Jesus. Kushi

Playing the different sports games outside was really fun. Austin
