Reconciliation Workshop

A reminder that First Reconciliation Workshop is on this Saturday 4th March at 11.00 am in the church. Please bring your penance workbook with your child's name clearly written on the front of it. 

CARITAS 

During Lent, Catholic schools and parishes raise funds for people living in the most vulnerable communities across the road. Children at SJV are invited to bring a small amount of money to school which can be placed in one of the Caritas boxes. 

The theme for Project Compassion is "For All Future Generations." It reminds us what we do today can have an impact on for people many years from now. As Nelson Henderson said "the true meaning of life is to plant trees under whos shade you do not expect to sit." 

Money raised will go to causes all around the world including support for those harmed in the Earthquakes in Turkey, the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Tongans effected by Hunga Tonga Hunga Ha’apai underwater volcano eruption and those in Africa who experience food insecurity.
