IMPORTANT TERM 2, 2023 DATES

Below is a list of some of the main dates on the school calendar for Term 2, 2023.  Families need to be aware that events which involve organisations outside of St John’s, such as the St Andrew’s Parish, may at times need to be rescheduled.  Please be aware that these changes are beyond our control.

PUBLIC HOLIDAY REMINDER

A reminder that next Monday 12th June is a Public Holiday for the King’s Birthday, and the school will be closed.

END OF TERM REMINDER

A reminder that Term 2 concludes on Friday 23rd June, with an early finish of 12:30pm for students.  Students return for Term 3 on Tuesday 11th July.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION REMINDERS

The celebration of our 2023 First Holy Communion is fast approaching.  A reminder that all students preparing to receive the Eucharist for the first time, are required to attend a Family Night at St Andrew’s church with one parent.  

This meeting will begin with the celebration of Reconciliation.  In preparation to receive their First Holy Communion, students are required to attend Confession.  At the conclusion of the Reconciliation Liturgy, Fr Albert will chat with families about the importance of the sacrament your child is preparing to receive.

The evening will conclude with a short practice session, where students will have the opportunity to practice receiving communion and families may ask questions.  Please note that both the family night and First Holy Communion will take place at our Parish Church St Andrew’s, at 105 Greaves St North, Werribee.
