Stage 3 News

Public Speaking

On Thursday 19th June, students from Stage 2 and Stage 3 participated in the Brooke Avenue Public School Speaking Contest. Once again, all the contestants displayed how capable and intelligent they are. The audience had the pleasure of hearing a variety of speeches. They ranged from a story that entertained to delivering an important message about the environment such as the effect of climate change. A few students even spoke about very personal issues such as living with a chronic health condition and educated the audience.

Congratulations to all the students who presented a speech. We are extremely proud of your effort.

The four students who came first for each year will have the opportunity to represent our school at the Zone Public Speaking Contest next term. These students were:

Year 3 - Faith F

Year 4 - Noah L

Year 5- Mackenzie H

Year 6- Lily S
