Sport Captain

The first half-season of Term 3 sport has been a success for Ashgrove Sport as we look forward to a busy season of rugby, football and chess in the next half of the term. The tennis and basketball program, led by 1st IV tennis captain Will O’Connor and the 1st V Basketball leadership team consisting of Sam O’Rourke, Jack Brassington and Ryan Ellis, went from strength to strength in their 4-week season.

A big thank you must go to all coaches and parents in their support and development of all Ashgrove sportsmen throughout the season. The recent AIC cross country championships were a success for all involved with Ashgrove taking out the win. All the boys involved were extremely happy and proud to get the 4-peat and continue the legacy left by previous runners.

The next half of the term is a huge 4 weeks for Ashgrove Sport. It is vital the swarm is in full flight for the rugby and football firsts games, especially for our only home game against Padua in Round 3. Also, watch out for the rebirth of the halfway couch for football and rugby!
