John XXIII Netball Club

It was a fantastic start to the season last Saturday. There were a lot of close nail biting games. 

 

We are looking forward to another fabulous weekend of netball with the primary school teams starting this weekend.

Parking

Parking at Matthews' Netball Centre is always busy. Allow plenty of time to get to the court for warm up and position allocation. The carpark will be full this week with primary and secondary competitions taking place.

PNA Parking Information

PRIMARY NETBALL

Please allow plenty of time to park and get to the court for warm up and position allocation.

 

It’s a very exciting time for everyone but please note: 

  • Parents and spectators must remain stationary on the sideline
  • Parents and spectators are not allowed to stand along the base/goal line
  • Jewellery is not allowed, not even taped
  • Nails must be cut short and filed smooth
  • Parents must not approach the umpires

Code of Conduct

Please remember that 

  • This is a game for the enjoyment of the players. 
  • Umpires are human and someone's child too. 
  • Coaches are doing the best they can.

Any breach of the Code of Conduct can result in a fine, loss of points or suspension of a player or team. 

 

Fines issued by PNA are to be paid by the team not the Club. If there is a problem on court that cannot be rectified by the umpires or coach please get an official from the PNA office while the game is ongoing. Our code of Conduct and Disciplinary policy, Code of Behaviour and Expectations of Players are available upon request.

SECONDARY NETBALL

Mobile phones

Mobile phones are not permitted at training or courtside.Please let your child know that phones must be left in bags or jackets.

 

Allow plenty of time to get to the court for warm up and position allocation. The carpark will be full this week with primary and secondary competitions taking place.

Bloomers must be worn

Bloomers must be dark blue or Club blue and gold. Dark blue running shorts are available at the College Uniform Shop or any retailer that sells school uniforms.

Game time

  • Players must be at the court 30 minutes before the start of the game
  • Late players may miss out on their allotted court time
  • Arrive ready to play        
    • Nails must be short
    • Jewellery must be removed
    • Hair must be tied and pinned back 
    • Water bottles filled. 
  • Phones are not permitted at training or courtside during games.
  • If you are going to miss a game please advise your coach as early as possible.
  • There are no COVID restrictions, so far this season. Sharing of half time fruit/oranges is permitted.
  • Team bags are in the JTCNC cage. Our cage is now opposite the old cage.
  • Bags must be returned to the cage after each game.

Absences

Please advise your coach as soon as possible if you are not going to make it to your game. It is incredibly difficult to find replacement players on game day.  The forfeit penalty is $100 after 5pm on Thursday and $50 before 5pm on Thursday. Forfeit penalties are passed on to the players that are absent from the game.
