Stay healthy and safe

Dear Yarrabah families,

The weeks are just flying by and with restrictions having eased we are really getting back to a new way of normal!

There are still some practices we will continue with at our school setting; even though we are opening up we are still in a pandemic.

As a school, we will continue to

  • wash hands regularly and have sanitiser at entry and exit points
  • Frequently clean high touch surfaces
  • Wear masks when possible
  • Socially distance where possible
  • Send children and staff home who are displaying cold and flu symptoms.

It will still be important to remain home if unwell and displaying symptoms and if appropriate get tested.

I thank all the families who have continued to do the right thing by keeping their sick child home, I know it’s not easy but this ensures we can all remain healthy and safe whilst at school.

Hayfever

We have had some unbelievable weather of late which has brought some higher than usual pollen count days!

If your child suffers from hayfever or asthma it is important you follow their management plan and ensure they have had their appropriate treatment prior to coming to school

This website is fantastic and they have a free APP that can send you daily alerts if there is a high risk of thunderstorm asthma or a high pollen count.

Have a wonderful week!
