Palm Island Immersion

Sixteen of our recent Graduates and two staff attended a Palm Island Immersion as an alternative to schoolies.

The group spent 3 days out on Palm Island, off Townville, as guests of St Michael's Primary School where they were made extremely welcome.

Trinity teacher Pat Seal and his family have spent 2022 at Palm Island in the Aboriginal community and Pat introduced the group to island life and culture.

The feedback from the students was that the island stay and connecting with the young students was the highlight of the trip that included time in Townsville, a visit to Magnetic Island, time in Port Douglas and a visit to the Great Barrier Reef.

Having made a connection with St Michael's, we are now exploring whether this can become an annual event based around the cultural immersion.
