Peak Fitness Triathlon
We had 2 Peak Fitness classes this semester and two triathlons to finish off the year.
Our triathlon happens at and around the Bluewater Leisure Centre. It consists of 12 laps of the pool, an 8km bike ride and a 3km run. Most students do not believe they will be able to achieve this in the space of six months, however, with training sessions each week and a lot of persistence and determination the majority of students get there in the end.
I want to congratulate all of the students who had a go, toughed it out and managed to complete the triathlon. Myself, Bryce, Josh and Coggs were certainly all very proud of your accomplishments and I know that those students who completed it felt really good about themselves and what they had been able to achieve. In my eyes you are all winners for completing it.
The best times in the Peak B class were:
Boys
1st Jack Fish 36 mins 04 seconds
2nd Gus Bennett 39 mins 28 seconds
3rd Ollie Cameron 39 mins 30 seconds
Girls
1st Ellinor Borrack 45 mins 50 seconds
2nd Lily Fountain 50 mins 40 seconds
3rd Kate Slingsby 52 mins 45 seconds
The best times in the Peak C class were:
Boys
1st Toby Robinson 38 mins 47 seconds
2nd Johnny Donovan 42 mins 18 seconds
3rd Will Murphy 45 mins 51 seconds
Girls
1st Kayley Phillips 50 mins 22 seconds

It is worth noting that Jack Fish has taken over from Grady Murnane as our Triathlon Champion. Grady has held the record since 2018 with a time of 36 mins and 45 seconds. Jack was faster by just 41 seconds. Congratulation Jack - all the hard work paid off. Keeley Hardingham still holds the girls record from 2019 with the time of 43:37.
