From our First Aid Room,

COLD, FLU AND GASTRO SEASON

With the colder temperatures in Melbourne also comes the unfortunate colds, flu and

gastro season. In an effort to minimise any infection spreading at school, please keep your children at home if they display any sign of illness.  Students should not return to school until at least 24 hours after all symptoms have disappeared.  For more information about colds, influenza and gastroenteritis:

Thank you for your cooperation and the important part you play in keeping our students healthy at CJC!

HEAD LICE

There has been at least one case of head lice at school this week, while the little crawlers do not pose any threat to the children’s health, they can be very stubborn and difficult to eradicate once they establish residence in schools.  Please check your children’s hair regularly and treat at the first sign of infestation.  Students can return to school as soon as they have received their first treatment.  A second treatment should be administered at day 7 and day 14 to eliminate all hatching eggs.  For more info about lice: https://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/health/conditionsandtreatments/head-lice-nits

If you have any question of concern with these matters, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Wishing an excellent weekend to all!
