Girls School Winter Uniform

Girls still require a winter tunic but they may now also wear long navy pants on very cold days. These specific pants by Beare & Ley, ink navy, are exclusive to and available from Lowes in Tamworth.  (No other navy pants are acceptable). Alternatively, we will be putting in a 'one off order' for our school. If you would like to take advantage of this order, please pay $39.95 on Qkr! using the size you require, by the 30th June.  

Pants will be available for collection on the first day of Term 3. We have sample sizes in the front office to assist you with your order.  Alternatively you may go to Lowes to purchase these pants during the holidays.

Parent/Teacher interview appointments are available on Compass now for the next 2 weeks.  Please go to the Compass portal to book your appointment/s.  See the instructions below:

Please follow these instructions to book your interview time with your child's teacher: 

● From the Compass homepage click the hamburger menu button at the top left (three horizontal bars) and then select 'Conferences'. 

● To start the booking process click on the 2022 Term 1, 3 way conference option. 

●Once you've selected the cycle you will first be shown a popup which contains information from the school. Read the message and click 'Okay' at the bottom to continue. ● Select your student to proceed with booking. 

● Select your child's teacher from the Right Hand Side of the screen. 

● To book in just click an available (white) timeslot. 

● This will open a booking popup for you to confirm. 

● Confirm booking Bookings are made more easily from a device other than a phone. If you are having trouble making a booking, please call Kate in the front office and she will make the booking for you.

T 3 Pupil Free Day - Monday,18th July.  

T3 Students return on Tuesday 19th. 

VIP Administration changes beginning T3, 2022. 

It is so important that you check your Compass Portal at least once a week to be informed of upcoming events, excursions or absent notes that are outstanding. We also need you to read the newsletter and check the parent calendar each week so you know what activities your children are enjoying.  These are our main sources of communication to our school community so please, Come! Share the spirit!

Absentee Notes

It is a legal requirement that all student absences from school are formally explained. Through our Compass system you have 7 days to complete this task.  Please make it a priority as soon as your child is unable to attend school, as this allows us to know if and when they should be here at school. As of Term 3, 2022 we will no longer be sending out paper reminder notes as it is your responsibility to complete this task on time.  Our head office completes a data collection audit at the end of each semester which is a permanent record of student attendance.  Your child's attendance is also recorded on their semester reports. If you require assistance with Compass, please call the office on 6761033 during business hours.

Permission Notes

Consent and payment for activities, must be given through the Compass portal by the due date on the note.  One reminder will be sent out the day before an event however, we will no longer make phone calls, send paper notes to chase up overdue responses.  If Consent and or payment is not made on time, students will miss out on school activities.  We don't want to see this happen however we simply can not continue to chase overdue permissions and payments.  You can now either give permission or decline events and we really need parents to fill in forms either way so we can process them more efficiently.

School Fees

To alleviate the stress of unpaid school fees, it is important to keep up to date with your payments.  

Term 2 fees  are due today Tuesday, 21st June, 2022.   Payment options for school fees are still the same and include: via the Qkr App; EFT (payment made direct to the school's bank account); CentrePay and ADIG Direct Debit (all details are on your statement). 

Please only use your surname and account number when paying via EFT as any more notation than this gets cut off (your account number is on the top right side of your fees statement under the date, thank you).  The Qkr App will be used for school fees until our financial system is upgraded and then it will change over to CompassPay.  If anyone is experiencing difficulties managing their school fees please ring and make an appointment to see Pauline and Tracey. Thank you to all who have already paid and also to those who maintain regular payments.

When contacting the school for any changes please use the quiadmin@arm.catholic.edu.au email. If you use the administration staff's personal email this cannot be accessed when they are away.  Thank you. 

STAR Words Awards

Congratulations tothe following students for their achievements in the STARS Word Reading Program:

Reuben and Macie - awarded the Rising Star award for mastering 50 Star Words.

Tayla - awarded the Shooting Star award for mastering 100 Star Words.

Oliver and Molly - awarded the Shining Star award for mastering 150 Star Words.

The Coolamon Challenge

Congratulations to Brandan and Violet who won last week's challenges. The answers were:

Infants: I am a letter. I am a vegetable. What am I?  A: P/pea

Primary: Can you list 3 words that are spelt with two consecutive 'i's? Possible answers include: skiing, graffitiing, taxiing, Pompeii, Hawaii, Wii, radii.

This week's challenges are:

Infants: What is the missing number in the pattern  17, 21, ___, 29,  33.

Primary: Which operations (+ x - ÷)will fit into the boxes to arrive at the answer of 48? Operations can be used more than once and remember that numbers in the brackets are solved first. 

(2 ? 1 ? 6) ? 6 = 48
